Default eZ 347 *block painted*

So I bought a shortblock yesterday. Scat forged crank and H beam rods, keith black forged piston. I already have afr 185 #1422 heads, airgap intake. 1.6 7/16 magnum roller rockers. I will be taking a lot off my current 5.0 since it is practically brand new as well.

So where do I start

Where do I start? For me, I would load it all in my pick up truck and take it down to the engine builder.

oil you the mains and lay the new crank in and snug down the caps hand tight.
bolt up the rods and start marking where to start grinding for clearance.

Actually the short block is complete. The crank sitting there is for a 455 pontiac. I ordered arp studs for the heads and a pushrod checkar. should be here tomarrow. my thinking is to get a cam picked out and installed. then install heads with gaskets roller rocker and check pushrod length so i can get those ordered. I bought royal purple assembly lube.

Did you buy a solid lifter to go with the pushrod length checker?
