Default cougar mirror on a mustang?

quick and to the point: Will a cougar drivers side mirror fit my '67 coupe? They look the same.

Sorry, no quick answer without knowing what year cougar.

Ford used the same side view mirrors on Mustangs, Cougars, Falcons and other models, depending on the year. In some cases, the actual upper part housing the mirror itself is the exact same part, but the pedestal is different, since the doors on all these cars were different. Getting a mirror from a cougar doesn't mean it will fit a mustang, nor does it mean it actually came from a cougar. It may have been retrieved from a falcon to fix the cougar years ago.

This is not a stretch. Best thing to do is match up mirrors or at least see if the cougar mirrors fit the stang.

FYI, the sport mirrors on my car (see sig) actually came from a 69 Falcon Ranchero. THe pedestal is slightly shorter than the Must ped, but it works.

There's a guy with literally stacks of old 67-73 cougar parts and I was thinking I'd swing by and see if he had a '67/'68 mirror. I could just buy a "new" one from my shop, but those are made in indonesia and I'm on a budget anyway. Thanks for the tip on the falcons, I'll look into it.
