Not on a roller engine, that's for flat tappets. The removed inner spring is to reduce valvetrain pressure so it's easier on the lifters.

13.20's with 2.25-2.30 60's, 40+ year old suspension sucks!
Best trap 107.11mph, we'll see what the new intake/carb setup does.

Nope, only for flat tappets. Roller cam setups are all steel (as opposed to cast iron) and don't require break-in.
I'd take it a little easy for the first couple hundred miles and keep the rpm's below 4k or so, but aside from that, don't be afraid to get into it to seat the rings.

I usually run it at around 2k for 20 minutes just to warm everything up and make sure there's no issues. Then go out and run it varrying from WOT up close to peak rpm and decel back down in gear, do that for several miles to seat the rings in. Then just change the oil and it's good to go.

I still did the 20 minutes at 2k with ours. 8 minutes into it the lower rad hose blew off.. such delight. Used those crappy chrome hoses and simply couldn't get them to stay on. Replaced them with regular rad hoses and all went well. Glad I tested in the garage before hitting the road. I'd rather spend the 20 minutes in the garage for things like this.

As mentioned, no break in for roller cams. Run it like you stole it when you get her going.
Even with rollers, you still have the rings and cylinders to contend with. 30 min @ 2000 is real cheap insurance.
As one of the other posters pointed out, all sorts of things can go wrong. I was 10 minutes into run-in on a 390GT a few moths ago, and a heater hose (installed by another tech) blew off and hosed about a gallon of coolant on the floor.
