Much better, but not not too bright. I had a couple co-workers drive in front of me & towards me & they said it was fine on dim (& bright on high).
I can see better now & that's a good thing cause there are a lot of deer around here at night.
The lights were $22 each with a $10 rebate at O'Reillys.
I got 2 relays at O'reillys for $4 each also. I sorta hid them behind the windshield washer bag so they aren't really visible unless you look for them.

Thats cool that you have better lighting now. I bet it is a big improvement over how it was before.
Personally I stay away from any of the tinted bulbs. The Silvania XV is actually brighter than the Silverstar. The ST has a amethyst coating on the bulb. Before you say that your bulbs are clear, I know the sealed beam part is, but the actual capsule type halogen bulb inside is tinted. That is how it gets its whiter light. So, in effect the more yellow light has actually been filtered out and therefore there is less light output. Next time your at the auto parts store take a look at the silverstar capsule bulbs and you'll see the tinted coating. The XV and the ST are basically the same design only the XV is clear.
