Default Interior Quarter Panel Snaps

I need to put new snaps in for my convertible boot.this will go in the back quarter interior on both sides.
How do you "mushroom" the back of the stud ?
Is there a special tool ?
Guy at work has a tool set for boat canvas snaps..it worked but not great
any ideas?

The ones I have used came with pop rivets which were inserted from the back. Seems to work pretty well.
