So i have a fairly strong bottom end. I am thinking about a small shot of NOS. who has the best kit. i see a bunch of them, i dont think there is really i big diff. is there?
This will only be to screw around with. Not an everyday thing btw.

I have a NOS Sniper kit, it's adjustable from 75-150 hp, I think..... I can't remember. Anyway, it's a simple plate system, not much to it. At 75 hp you should be fine, just remember to get enough fuel to it (run a seperate fuel line and pump) just to be on the safe side. Hope that helped.

Personally, I would not mess with nitrous. I don't want anything to do with it. I have seen way too many people trash their engines with it.
Also, its not always there. In my opinion, its artificially making a car faster than it really is. Besides that, you have to keep paying to refill the bottle.
NOS would be a great little piece of fun and I always thought abaout it, but I'm too scared as I'm afraid I'll ruin the engine running lean or too much timing

As said above, nitrous is a very good power adder if 1. you run the correct AFR 2. you have strong enough parts to survive the extra power 3. you have plenty of fuel flow 4. your suspension and traction can plant the extra power. If you do not meet those requirements, it is going to be bad. Most people who have had bad experiences with nitrous, ran too lean, or broke parts b/c they could not handle the power...both of which are a problem when running NA too, but nitrous gets blamed due to ignorance. Be smart and set it up right and it can be lots of fun.

Stock bottom end, ran that 100 shot for 5 years without any problem. Above posters are right though. Follow the directions on the pressure and jetting, and you will be fine. I never even checked my AFR to be honest. Ran it exactly how they said. Mine was the Super power shot. Only thing I've seen change of the years that would sway me is a kit that had stainless jets, not brass.
I also ran a 125 super powershot on my mildly built stock bottom end 289 and it took it to the 11's. I worked for NOS for a while so i was able to learn what to do and not to do. I didnt run a separate fuel system, just a single Holley Blue pump.I used the 125 HP jest and never had a problem. My old DD 94 GMC truck used a 150 shot on a bone stock 5.7 for years and never had a problem. My Banshee quad had a Sneaky Pete set up on it.My buddy runs a 150 shot on a Kragen replacement 350 in his elco. Ive never had any issues once it was jetted right.

Thats just because they are easy to hook up and poeple that dont know what they are doing run a nitrous button.
example; guy hooks up a nitrous system to his stick shist pos eclipse. runs the system on a button. hes racing hits the button and when he shifts he lets up off the gas while his finger is still puching the button...boom!
run a WOT switch so that the system can only be activated in WOT that way the motor is getting enough fuel. running nitrous lean is ok but nitrous rich is catastrophic. make sure the fuel selenoid is getting approx 6psi freeflow. if your getting enough fuel nitrous can be very reliable. On 100 shot there is no reason to run a stand alone fuel system, just a good pump.
