Default Hooker or Dynomax Mufflers

Does anyone else like how this sounds?

I think it sounds great!

I'm planning on replacing my Flowmaster 40s. I'm just sick of the drone at 2k rpm on the interstate.

Also, The sound is kinda getting tiresome, since it seems alot of people have it.

Thoughts?

Please do not suggest Magnaflow, I just do not like how it sounds.

Awesome !

Those sound totally bitchin .... can't wait to finish my Cougar and put them on !
(I've already got the Hooker Max Flows .... exhaust system hasn't been built yet)

... I like it loud ... so it probably won't be loud enough for me ....

fyi ...

My primary rides: Yammi FJR1300 with Walker Holeshot full system
Triumph 675 with full Ti Race System

Honestly, no. I like Dynomax and Magnaflow for a reason: they're not obnoxiously loud and crackly.

Personal opinion though, so get what you like

I think it sounds mean.

I think Dynomax sounds good. I have one of their mufflers on my F150. The Magnaflows just don't sound all that good to me.

According to this they are quieter than the Flow 40s and the flow better. It also says they are quieter than the Magnaflows.

Well, it is hard to tell from a recording. And the pipes are pointed almost right at the camera.

But yeah, I imagine they flow better than Flowmaster 40's. Few 'performance' mufflers flow worse.

I'm starting to like the Dynomax Ultras. I know its they are 5.0's but its all I could find. They have a nice deep mellow sound.

I'm not sure I buy what that chart says. It says that the Dynomax Ultra is louder than the Hooker Max Flow. I think the Hooker is louder.

I have heard some other you tube videos and really like the sound of the Dynomax Ultra. Also it is stainless steel and has a lifetime warranty.

Is anyone running them?

Summit is offering a pair of free stainless band clamps with the purchase and any Dynomax Ultra Flow.

Here, finally found a 66 with them.

Attention Moderator

Can you please retitle this thread to read "Hooker Or Dynomax Mufflers"? That would make it alot more useful especially for those that are using the search function.

Keep in mind, cats on later 5.0 cars will even out a blatty, tinny exhaust note a lot. Your car will almost always have a more aggressive sounding exhaust with the same mufflers.
