Recently bought the car, and noticed oil slowly dripping from what I thought was the filter. Since I didn't know how old the filter was anyway, went ahead and put in a fresh filter and new oil hoping that would fix it. After the engine ran for a few minutes, leak started back up. on closer inspection it's not the filter, its something next to it, and the leak started out looking like oil, but seems to be more water / clear as it went on, about a dozen drops per minute. Radiator fluid is the green pre mix, and there's no green tint to the leak, so not sure. The leak seems to be coming from a round object next to the filter, can't see if its coming from cables or what, maybe running around it, but i can't get a top down view.
i also had some oil blow out the exhaust, but that seems to clear up, i may have just put in too much?
Also having a problem with the right front headlight, not coming on. Is there an easier way to get to it without taking off the fender?
third issue is a very small leak, can only tell its there from the puddle. It's in about the middle of the car, guessing the transmission? it's an 8 inch square plate with bolts about every inch around it that looks pretty dirty.

What's in the picture is the fuel pump. What's leaking sounds like fuel. You need a new pump.
The leak in the middle of the car could be almost anything. Just about any leak on a small block ford shows up on the front of the block plate - the "8 inch square plate with bolts about every inch around it that looks pretty dirty."
Finding that oil leak could be difficult. But, considering the age and condition, it's probably from more than one source. Most likely culprit is the valve covers. Then the front cover around the balancer hub, and then the oil pan.
Fixing the valve covers is pretty easy. $20 in parts and an hour or so of your time.
The rest can be a real pain in the neck. If those are leaking a little, I'd probably ignore it for now and spread some kitty litter.
what I would suggest on the unknown leak is to get a couple of shop towels and really clean up under and around the motor. Once it is clean, the source of the leak or leaks will be easier to figure out. Just my guess would be leak is coming from the oil pan.
ya the pic is a fuel pump but if its oil its probably leaking from somewhere else, onto the fuel pump and dripping. as oldrock said. clean up the area best you can, start the car and wait to see where the leak comes from.....work your way up from there....clean, check, clean, check. if it ends up being gas. check and change the hoses first. if their old they probably have bunch of cracks in em. no need tossing a working pump
i use to know a good check for "unknown" fluids via smell or looks, think it went something like this....
black: oil of course
purple/dark pink: tranny (also will have a slight sweet smell to it like radiator fluid sorta)
clear: gas....ud notice that smell of course
green/orange (depending one you fluid): radiator (also a sweet smell)
just between looks and smell of it u should be able to figure it out via that
