Default Dynomax Mufflers

Is anyone running Dynomax mufflers on their Stang?

I started another thread about the Hooker mufflers recently and then decided I think I like the Dynomax better. I hate to start a new thread, but I just wanted to know who has them.

I have decided to go with the Dynomax Ultra Flo. I would like to hear your thoughts if you have the super turbo or the Ultra.

I'll probably get the mufflers on my 65 swapped out this week.

Here is the other thread.

My buddy has a pair of Dynomax super turbo mufflers on his '71 Chevelle behind a ZZ4 crate motor. They sound very, very good. Not raspy or blatty at all, but plenty of volume (I think they're actually louder than my car until I hit WOT).

For comparison, my friend has a '67 Barracuda, 360, long tube headers, X pipe, 2 1/2" stainless pipes with mandrel bends and Dynamax Ultraflows and I think it sounds great. Oh, and its a convertible and we can hold a decent conversation with the top down at highway speeds.
My car has a 331, shorties, X pipe, 2 1/2" stainless pipes with mandrel bends and Mangflows. I drones like crazy and I don't like the sounds.

We both have 3:55 diffs and he turns a slightly higher rev at 70 mph than me due to our differences in 5th gears.

I think this is a pretty good apples to apples comparison in configurations and I"m ready to change out my Magnaflows for Dynomax Ultra flows.

I have the annoying Flowmaster (dronemasters) 40 series. I'm just sick of the chambered mufflers and their hollow sound.

Thats cool. I actually swapped out the 50 series Flowmaster on my 95 F150 for a larger case Dynomax super turbo and it is much more mellow sounding.

I'm going to go with the Ultra Flow Dynomax on the 65.

Thats cool, I should have mine swapped out tomarrow. Hopefully it sounds good.

I have never heard someone say that their magnaflows drone badly.

I'm running Flowmaster Hushpower II's (now sold as Hushpower HP-2's). They're expensive, but they sound amazing. If you listen to the clip on the website, that's almost exactly what my car sounds like.

Idle is a mellow 50's tone, cruising is a nice even but aggressive tone, and WOT makes your skin tingle. No raspiness, no blattiness.
