I got these. I figure that since my car is a cruiser and is not driven really hard that they serve the purpose. They also fit really well.
I was told by several Mustang parts places that the bolt on ones fit better than the weld on ones. I did have them welded at the muffler shop after I installed them.
By welding the 'u-shaped' sub frame to the floor you essentially make a rectangular tube out of it. Granted, it probably does not end up with the torsional strenth of the Tinmans but I would love to have someone do a chasis flex test on the various connectors and technically see how much differance that there really is. How much additional stiffness do you need for a street car that might see a little autocross or track time. Spreading the load out to the outer rockers really does provide additional stiffness.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!”

I like the Heidts connectors. the craftsmanship on them was incredible and they lined up very nice when I mocked them up. they are a bit pricey compared to some of the others but I also like the option of the chassis stiffener brace.
I was hoping someone who got them would chime in. If it wasnt for their additional cross bracing with DS loop I would go with the tinman but its nice to have that additional support as an option down the road. It would probably fit between the tinmans but this way you know for sure. Can you post a pic of the Heidts?
