After market seats or modern take off seats... for 65 Mustang Coupe
I am looking into putting more modern seats in my 65 mustang coupe... any recommendations? Most take offs/outs come with pwr seats for at least driver side.... is this a HUGE deal to run pwr to this?
Any recommendations as to vehicles and years to look at for seats is GREATLY appreciated.

Most say any newer mustang front seats will work if you drill them to fit your tracks. To made it have power seats will take a lot of work have to make the tracks from a newer car fit yours. The wiring for the power is easy just cut the harness part out and tap in to your cars fuse box.
i have fiero seats and really like them. good looks and great support.

I bet alot of us classic mustang drivers are in the same boat. I am leaning towards aftermarket seats for mine so I can have manual adjustment and taller seats. I see them offered for under $300/pair shipped on the internet. HOpe some folks who have them chime in here to tell you what works and what doesn't.
I was looking into going with some aftermarket seats for my 65 a while back. I ultimately decided to go with the original seats, but use TMI sport seat foam and TMI sport seat upholstery. I like their seat foams because they have bolsters in them like modern seats, but they also look like original seats. The car is at the interior shop getting everything installed right now. I plan on doing a review on them once I put some miles on them. Good luck either way you decide.

A few upgrades here and there! Semper Fi
I used the ProCar Sportsmans in mine, also a straight bolt in with the track kit. Not power though. They make you sit higher, and they're not really a luxury seat, but have good support and though they're firm, they're not uncomfortable. If you're looking for a less "race oriented" seat then the ProCar Elites would work nice. They don't break the bank either, other seats START at around $300 and go up from there(all the way to $2,700 EACH for a top of the line Recaro)
