not for wiping filler.... if its very shallow you can use 180.....

The coating is pretty thin, if you use 80 grit you probably be down to bare metal anyway. I stripped the skins I put on just to be safe. I trust my epoxy primer more than that coating, It only took like 5 minutes with an air board sander so why not.
