If BA also has about 2" end play perhaps that's normal for the I6...I know on the V8s 3/4 to 1" is about normal.
And I dont remember any trick for holding that bolt in place...I did it a long time ago...cant you reach it from the inside and put an end wrench on it????

nope, the head of the bolt is wayyy to tight quaters to even slip a socket over just to holt it and break it free. I'm kinda stuck. I know how much trouble it can be when the nut rotates with the bolt !
got it! I used a flat head to wedge witha rubber mallet between the bolt head and the track. it worked! good tip for somebody else having trouble I suppose.

I have T5, V8 driveshaft, and 8" rear end. The driveshaft was 1" shorter than my I6 driveshaft. I read you had to have it shortened so I bought that one.
which part, the rust (that actually isnt thatttt bad now that I can see everything) the duct tape (what does go over that little channel for the wires? anything?) or the fact that he used rivets to hold the entire floor in? and to make it worse, I'm pretty sure he rivited it right into the frame. SOME people... jebus.
