Default Can anyone help ID this transmission?

This transmission is out of the car we are restoring. Can anyone ID what it is and what it is worth? It looks like a 4-speed toploader to me, but I was told it may a 3 speed. Thanks in advance.

I'm gonna go with 1970 Torino, 4-speed toploader. D0AA factory Hurst shifter plate (mid-mounted, Torino style) and double-acting reverse lever for steering column lock. Does it still have the little tag on the RH side?

That comes up as a 70 fairlane with a 351 and it is a close ratio transmission. I have never seen a bell housing that look quite like that one in the picture. Looks a bit strange to me. To use that trans in a Mustang the the tail shaft will need to be changed or find an adapter to move the shifter back to the correct possition.l

Ok thanks to both of you for the help. That explains why the shift hole in the transmission tunnel was cut a couple inches forward. Any idea what is may be worth?

Since it is not a direct bolt in for a Mustang I would say 400 or 500 bucks.
