Default How many speakers in a 06 vert - shaker 500?

Does the new vert have 8 speakers? Theres no space in the back to put any speakers. I am only going by memory and havent looked but did they push them down to the sides? I ordered a MTX 12 inchthunderform and just was trying to figure out what wires I will have to splice into. Has anyone done this mod to a vert yet?

The shaker 500 is listed as an 8 speaker system, 2 in back seat2 subs in the front doors, the top speakers in the front doors are seperate components so ford lists them as 2 per side (most people would call them 1) there you go 8 speakers.I replaced my front & rear with Infinity 6X8 reference series & left the subs alone. It sounds pretty good now, much better than the paper speakers. They are a direct fit & reasonable to buy on Ebay (about $45 per pair).

Has anyone ever replaced the back speakers in a vert? You know, the ones in the side. They are factory 6 x 8's. I was thinking about trying 6 x 9's.

The new Shelby audio components made by Kicker are a good option for the door subs as well as the 6x8s. I plan to order both this winter
