Default Hardtop???

Has anyone ever seen a hardtop for a convertible mustang, like how Jeep has drop on ones for winter use?

I haven't seen one, not aftermarket at least, but you might be able to pull some sort of chop job diy thing...if you have that kind of money.

smoothline makes a hardtop for the 94-04 convertibles but i dont really like the look. it has the lines of the 05+ mustangs and just doesnt seem to flow together well. i havent heard of anyone that actually bought it so im not sure how the fit/finish is. i dont think that there is anyone else that makes them aftermarket. Ford actually made a few for the 94-04 body style, but i guess they didnt sell too well. If you could find one of those i bet it would cost a pretty penny.

The Mustangs Unlimited catalog (www.mustangsunlimited.com) sells the Smooth Line fiberglass hardtops, they range from around $2600.00 to $3200.00. The catalog lists them for '94-'04 Mustangs.

Yeah, I've been wondering if it's possible too. The weather in my area isn't the best for a soft top and the car was handed down to me so I guess I gotta work with it.

If you find a hardtop under 1k, let me know.. All the ones up here are closer to 3.5-4K.

I haven't started to look yet, but that 3.5-4k is really discouraging...lol

I saw a 96 cobra on ebay with a removable hard top a few months ago and it looked great. I think it was a ford top. With it on it looked just like a coupe.

yeah, ford made a few hard tops for the cobra convertibles back in the day. i think the total number made was only around 1000, so good luck getting your hands on one. and there is no telling what they are selling for if you can find one.
