yes, the correct question would be - what is my top made of? Vinyl or non-vinyl? sorry... can I play my "girl" card on this one?

lol i didnt post it to be mean, honestly i have no idea lol. My car has a different top than gt's and v6's. Its made of cloth, i used type a.

i think v6's and gts did come with vinyl tops, post in the 4.6general section and ask, noone comes to this section of the site

My 2009 V6 convertible leaked into the trunk as well. Found it 2 weeks after purchase and dealer said sheet metals weren't sealed properly at spot welded joints. They applied some gray silicone to the drainage well where the back window drains into and have not seen any water since. Only bad thing is the spare tire cover (particle board) is curling up now after drying.

Default Leaky

2000 GT, same leaks right at the corners of the rear window. Everyone I talked to said to fix it completely I need to replace the top. Lucky for me it sees rain nor snow anymore.

One of the downsides of convertibles is leaks as we are finding out.

My gt has a cloth top but yeah most have vynal. Mines just because of the anniv package. I have no leaks yet but im also at 18k and it doesnt see much rain.
