Had a real bad leak in that spot (passenger side only) on my '96. Just took some adhesive silicone sealant and built up the weather stripping a bit, let set for 30min or so then covered with seran wrap and buttoned her up- worked fantastic!

Edit: Oh, removed the seran wrap a few days later when I was 100% sure the silicone was fully cured

if you check a few post back (maybe 100 or so) the problem was fixed. some one made a post or answered a post showing how to do it with pics
