There are many good quality convertible top manufacturers in the U.S. The top 4 are: Robbins Auto Top; E-Z on; Electron; and Kee Auto Top(not necessarily in that order). Some pay more attention to detail and are a little more expensive. Some fit better and are easier to install(these also are the more expensive tops). When I say more expensive, I mean maybe $35 to $65 but usually not much more. Robbins likes to manufacture back windows as close to original specifications as possible. My shop has had trouble with Electron honoring their warranties.

Installation isn't rocket science. Patience, paying attention to the way it came apart and putting it back together the same way are techniques good convertible top technicians use.

Don't plan on starting the job Saturday morning and being done at the end of the day. If this Stang needs to be used as a daily driver, have other transportation lined up. Professionals who do this every day will assume that a convertible top and back window job will take them 10 to 12 hours.

Good luck!

Gregg: It's a big job, take my word for it after having done one.

Just did mine in December. Yes it is a big PITA! But it is very doable. Bought my top from Topsonline and am very happy with the top as well as their service. Was about $500 for the twillfast canvas....same material as the 03-04 Cobra tops. I am very pleased with the results.
