Default Back Window Problems

Well I only have problem lowering down my back windows on my mustang. Everything else works, the top works, power locks work, driver and passenger power windows works. Would anyone tell me how I would go about on fixing this back window dilemma?

Woah almost forgot to include detailed information, I own a V6, 2000 Mustang Convertible.

the gears plugs are probably worn out. it won't cost you but 8 bucks at autozone and its not hard to get to the window motors (atleast on a fox) and take the motor a part. THere are three gear plugs.

these are examples of ones for 79-93, but i think when i bought mine from autozone they said 79-04 all fords. so take yours apart first and the gears (hard plastic) should be broken up (atleast mine were). and let us know.

no problem. i just did mine about a week ago. one of my quarter windows would go down (barely) and wouldn't go up. i pulled it apart and the gear plugs were completely broken into pieces. i bought new plugs and popped them in, greesed it back up and through it back on, now the window works fine. an 8 dollar fix that took about 15 min

you're gonna have to take the panels off that are on both sides. the foxes are held on by two screws close to where the door jam is and one holding it towards the back seat (where your back is up against).

i'm sure ford doesn't change the concept that much so just look around.
don't just go yanking stuff. once you've taken the srews out, pull lightly on the panel and use a flash light to see if there are any hiden screws that you missed.

if you have a lot of junkyards around sometimes its worth the trip to practice on theirs let us know
