Default Broke into my Vert

HELP,

My 2002 V6 Vert was broken into last night. I thought I locked it, but maybe I didn't. They took my radar detector and some other small stuff. Looks like they tried to take the radio, but only broke the bezel around the radio, the shifter and the bezel on top of the dash, by the windshield.

The local car stereo shop says the OEM alarm only handles sensing the doors and wants $250 (installed) for a new alarm system that would handle any doors being opened and a shock sensor. And an extra $30 to add the trunk remote to the new key bob that comes with the system.

For $350, (installed) I would get an upgraded system to include an air pressure sensor that would activate the alarm if a window is broken or the top is cut. They say you can break the windows or cut the convertible top without setting off the shock sensor.

On the cheaper side, they offered to add a shock sensor to the existing OEM alarm for $90, installed. But warned that it sometimes works and sometimes not.

So -

My question is - What to do?

Are the easy add-ons to the OEM system? I say easy because my ability (both personal and facility wise) is limited.

Do air pressure sensors work?

Is $350 the right way to go?

Thanks for the input.....

$350 isn't bad I don't think. That was what my alarm guy was going to charge me for mine.
