Default 88-92 mustang lx convertible top swap

i have an 88 and a 92 mustang lx , there both convertibles. Does anyone know if i can put the top from the 92 onto the 88 if i take everything including the convertible frame off . i didnt do my homework before buying the 92 ,because everyone is saying the tops changed after 90 and i wouldnt be able to do the swap ......if anyone can at least help me out with an answer

Look in a parts catalog to see if they are the same tops or part number. You should get a pretty good idea. Do alot of measuring on the frames to compare.
