Question 6 speed stick in 1984 mustang 5.0 convert.

I took this care in on trade,and found that it has a 6 speed stick trans. 5 forward and 1 reverse gears.It has the hi per 302 engine,have never seen a 6 speed in a mustang.looks like it came from factory.Any info please

Maybe its just me, but 5 forward gears would just make it a 5 speed transmission. Unless thats a typo, and someone would have had to swap in a 6-speed.

its a t5, it has five gears AND reverse

My god, you only count the forward gears when talking about how many gears a trans has. EVERY trans has a reverse.

Wouldn't the VIN tell you what tranny came in it stock?
And I would be willing to bet that at least a 1/3 of the Mustangs come stock with manual trannies.
