Question Quad shocks?

Hey guys, I just picked up an 86' GT Convertable and this was the first year for Quad Shocks. I was wondering how well they work considering this is the first year, I have a buddy with a newer Foxbody (98' or 90' ?) with engine work done to it and he says because of the Quad shocks wheel hop is non exsistant. This might sound basic but im just getting into foxbodies and i just want to know of any problems I might run into down the road. Thanks.

When these cars were new, the quad shocks weren't such a great design. Now, 26 years later, I can assure you that your quad shocks are not operating as was originally intended. (bushings are probably worn out and the shocks have surely lost their dampening effect)

However, when you upgrade your control arms (which is a good idea since they are probably 26 years old as well, so they're worn out too), you no longer need the quad shocks to control the unwanted axle movement.

Here are UPR's best selling upper & lower control arms. They are Made in America, they carry a Lifetime Guarantee, and we offer mf.com members a 10% discount on them:
