Question How to Install Rear Window

What all is involved in replacing a new rear window? I currently have a plastic window but I'm considering replacing it with a glass window.

Just my opinion, but it might be feasible to buy a step by step DVD that shows the way to replace the whole top. Somewhere in the DVD, I believe, it will show you how the rear window is taken off and put on. I bought a DVD for the 1994-2004 Mustangs and it appeared to be pretty straight forward. I e-mailed him with a few questions and received a fast reply. I have not replaced the top yet but I feel the 25 dollar DVD was well worth the knowledge I gained.

I ordered mine from aoksales.com He has about 25 different DVDs for different vehicles. Like I said, I have not put the top on yet. I did watch the DVD about 10 timed though.-- Good luck and let us know how things turn out.

The back window conversion from plastic curtain to glass involves installing a different top strictly to be used with a glass back window.

So, if you aren't planning to install a new top at the same time, just put a new plastic window back in.

I bought that DVD from AOK when I replaced the top on my 02 and it couldn't have been better. It was absolutely step by step with no guess work.

Well worth the coin.

I'm glad to hear that. Do you remember what size staples you used? My top is alright now but I know that this job is in the near future since it is the original one.

No I don't remember off the top of my head. 3/8" , 1/2" or so?? I think the dude in the video tells you that when he's going over what you'll need to do the job.

Another +1 for the AOK videos. I just got the one for the '05+.

Very thorough and well worth the dough if you're thinking of tackling a top project.
