Default Boot Cover

Just joined this forum a few minutes ago. I bought a 2003 GT convertible 2 weeks ago and it didn't have a boot cover with it. I've had 2 convertibles in the past, way back in the '60s (last one was a '68 Mustang), and I never drove one with the top down unless the boot cover was in place. (Well, maybe I did once, but that time doesn't count.) I've done a little searching but not much luck so far. Does anyone know if any of the after market boot covers are worth considering? I saw a couple of them online from cjponyparts.com, but have no idea if they are any good or not. They are vinyl boot covers rather than the stiff plastic ones like the OEM covers.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Hi-- I have a 2003 Vert and bought one off of E-Bay. You can get one around 125 dollars. Make sure you get one that has the 2 snaps, one on each side. I believe the 2003 and 2004 use this type. These model years have the male end of the snaps already mounted on top of the rear trim. Hope this helps

Don.

I have a boot cover I bought on ebay a couple years ago. I never used it yet. I just found farting around with it was more hassle than its worth. Plus I need my truck for my golf clubs.

If you're looking for one, I can take some pictures of this one for you. I'd let it go for a reasonable price.

Shampue,
is the boot cover you have the black OEM item? Can you tell by it's appearance whether it saw much use, if any, before you bought it? I was originally thinking along the lines of a white after-market boot cover to match the top and interior on my GT, but will consider the OEM cover if the condition is acceptable and the price is right. If you can send me some photos and your asking price via PM, we may be able to make a deal.
Thanks,
Don

Have you had a chance to take any pix of your boot cover yet?

Don

My 02 came with a factory boot cover and I think I put it one once for the poops and giggles then stuffed it into the attic with my other spare parts.
