Default Front facing child car seat in convertible

Hi Everyone, I'm a new member and have just purchase another mustang! I bought a 1991 mustang GT Convertible. I was hoping to take my son here and there on occasion around our small town in it. He is 2 and in a forward facing car seat but I am having problems trying to install it. The belts do not lock when you pull on them and there is no brackets between the seats for the car seat to clip into. There is also no back ledge by the rear window for a bracket to be mounted for the top strap. I cant find any info on how this can be done but want my son to be as safe as possible when he is riding in that car. Any info on how I can do this would be great! Thanks, and sorry if this is not posted in the correct spot.
