Default water leak between front & quarter window

I have 2006 conv. it has developed a water leak at the seal between the front window and the quarter window. I have been told there no way to replace the seal and that the whole window assembly needs to be replaced at a cost of over $600.00. does anyone have a cheaper solution.

There is a Mustang boneyard called MPS Auto http://mpsautosalvage.com/sunshop/

I got a like new quarter window from them for $60.

But to answer your question, correct, you cannot replace that seal. Its attached to the quarter window permanently.
