2009 Mustang vs. 2010 Mustang - Opinions?
Hello.
My husband and I are looking at convertibles. The Mustang seems to get the best reviews for the 4 seaters. We are not tire squealers, so with that said we are leaning toward the V6/ automatic Mustang. This will NOT be a daily driver.
In our area, there is a 2009 Mustang premium convertible - V6, Automatic, torch red with black top, gray leather interior, Power driver seat, My color, aluminum dash & trim, 45th Anniversary fender badges.
Also there is a 2010 Mustang premium convertible - V6, Automatic, torch red with Stone top, stone leather interior, Power driver seat, SYNC, My color, aluminum dash & trim.
Both cars have around 40,000 miles.
Which would you choose? Are there any reliability issues with either of these model years? Would the 2009 retro look/ 45th Anniversary/ low number of 2009's produced be worth more in the years to come?
Thanks!

The top color alone would make me go with the 09 if your set choosing between these two vehicles.
Im assuming the top is cloth like on my 07... Any of the lighter color tops look dirty fast, especially if you don' make a commitment to keeping them clean.
As far as value, I don't think you'll have much difference in resale value down the road between the two.
Good luck in which ever you choose, the above is obviously my opinion and others may disagree.

I have a tan top and it is impossible to keep clean and my car is not a daily driver. I will be replacing the tan top with a black one sometime this year.
I like both body styles but prefer the more retro style of the '05 to '09. I don't think the 45th Anniversary model will be any more valuable than the '10 in the future.

I like the body of the 09 more, but the interior of the 2010 is better in my opinion. The 2010's are much quieter inside too.. 05-09's didn't have much sound dampening. Between the two, I would go with the 2010 unless you got an unbeatable price on the 09.

Thank you everyone for your advice. I wondered if certain convertible top colors we better than others. I really wanted to stay away from black leather interior with a convertible, because I'm sure you could fry eggs on it in the sun. :-) I do like the idea of SYNC on the 2010, but maybe in a convertible you wouldn't be able to make a hands free phone call and be able to hear it?
