i want the opinions of some hardcore mustang fans on my plans for cosmetic work on my car. i have a nice little sleeper going on, but i want to stand out a little. first off, i hate rice so dont call me a ricer...and if you dont like my ideas let me know so i can change them without offending the mustang community.</P>


first off, im tired of being on of the 700,000 laser red mustangs in the us, so i was thinking bout getting it painted mettalic royal blue... and since i like wings that sit flat on the decklid, (like the 03 cobra) so iwas considering a saleen s281 wing. im not trying to be a saleen, i just like how that wing looks... second, i was considering polished aluminum wheeles,i havent really decided on what kind yet, but would 18" be too ricey?? or should i stick with 17"? and last but not least, i was wanting a hood scoop, and --this was suggested by a hard core muscle car guy-- i was considering a shaker replica made for building 351w mach1 clones. my body shop said it would work, and i think it would look wicked, as well as very unique. ive never seen an sn95 with a shaker, and, even if its not real, i think it would look wicked. </P>


honest opinions, please. please dont insult me if you dont like it either, i want to know what mustang guys think of my ideas so im putting it up in the air before i do it.</P>

IMHO... I agree with the wanting to be just a little different. With mustangs its so hard to do. The color idea sounds cool, as long as you do just paint and none of those stupid ricer Zeus reaching to the heavens stickers.<img border="0" src=smileys/smiley11.gif border="0">
Rear wings are cool... I got a saleen wing on my '86 and want a saleen wing on my vert. BUT with that said, those 40 foot high aluminum x braced gonna create enough downforce to crush your trunk airplane wings that ricers put on their crap just plain sucks! As far as wheels go, good drag wheels are usually polished aluminum. All in all, I kinda like your ideas. Changes your stang and its not ricy to boot. Plus, even though you have a v-6, you still have some ***** under the hood to back up its looks.

MHO agrees. isn't it funy how ricers put those wings, intended for back wheel downforce, on their front wheel driven cars?
