How to get rubbing compound off Vinyl roof?
Dumb moment but I was rubbing out my quarter panel and got small white dots of rubbing compound on my vinyl top from my buffer. I did not notice it until the next day as the garage was dark. I used a wet rag but it did not work. The dots disappear at first but when the water dries they come back. Any suggestions?? I do not want to ruin the top.

A few things to try...
- A warm, strong car wash solution and a soft toothbrush.
- A compatible vinyl cleaner and a soft toothbrush.
- Try a vinyl dressing or a heavy-duty product like Mothers Back-to-Black. (I actually like to use these products on my trim before I polish and wax to help prevent product from sticking... a little late for now, but next time give it a try.)

If what was stated above doesn't work, try an alcohol based product, like paint/lacquer thinner. Just put a few drops of it on a towel and apply, kinda dab it on at first. Might need to use a brush too. That should do the trick. What color is the top?
