New top for my new vert

New top for my new vert
Well I just picked up my baby from the dealership. They had to replace the top due to a rip I found under one of the seems. I also found a small almost unnoticable scratch on top of one of the mufflers (can see it with a mirror) but they wouldn't replace it... J/K
Anyway, when I picked it up they said I had to leave the top up for 1 week. What the HEL* is that! I told them just put the old one back on. I'll wait for winter when I garage it... Da**, I haven't had the top up for more than 12 hours since I got it. Only another 165 hours to go. I can handle it. really i can []

RE: New top for my new vert
Yeah I'd like to know what the cost is well. I'm chasing a leak that I'm afraid is going to lead to a new top. I've already found one hidden hole that "shouldn't" be a problem. We'll see. A week huh? That would really suck...then again it's so stinkin' hot right now, it might be a good time so I can enjoy it in the fall when it cools off again.
How did you decide who to use to replace your top?

RE: New top for my new vert
Sorry guys, I can't even begin to tell ya how much it cost... It was still under warrenty, I only had it a week when I noticed the tear. Better to get the new top now than later. My dealership uses a custom interior and top shop for the work, so the fit is much better than original. They have been in business for 50 years doing only high end work. I guess I lucked out that some mechanic not familar with tops replaced it.
