Once you put the sealant on. I usually let it sit for about an hour before buffing off. After you buff off let it sit from 8-24 hours.
I would use a polish to strip the wax. It will clean the paint and just give the paint a better look.

Great Justang, thanks very much for the info. I will see how it makes it through the Winter and follow your instructions around the first of April. My problem is that I only have the weekends at home, so it's important to go through all the steps in one day. Maybe I will polish and seal on a Saturday morning and wax in the evening.
