Its a bad idea and there are so many ways to tell the differance you will get caught. Its like a cross dresser or a tranny tryin to pull off a differant gender. Everyone know your not what you say you are you just look weird.

Ok, do what you want......but in my opinion NO!!!!!! You would then have to get the engine, bumper with the COBRA lettering, interior upgrades, spoiler, front bumper, wheels.....So it would be cheaper NOT to put that emblem on your car.
I should have taken a pic of a mustang I saw the other day in Nashvilles "little mexico". The car was green, not in a good way green, like puck green, had that crappy crome plated plastic on the doors/fenders/hood(basically everywere they could fit it). It was a 40th ann. GT, Cobra....how you ask? it had every emblem. the 40th ann. decal was in the original fender location as well as the GT emblem on the trunk lid, but the Cobra emblem was plastered under the 40th emblem. Just made me want to rip all of them off and throw then throughthe windshield[:@][:@]...[:'(]

Go ahead and do what you want.
I have an '03 GT Vert that has the CDClightbar and Saleen hard tonneau cover, full billitt interior, 4 piece GrillCraft sport grill, all 3 of my fake scoops have stainless steel wire mesh inserts from CC Mustang, UPR wiper and antenna deletes, etc etc.
Not to mention a Novi 2000 under the hood, with 373's, Magnaflow catted x, Magnaflow mufflers, 75 mm throttle body, C&L intake plenum, MGW shifter, 03 Chrome Cobra rims, 275-40's all around, Eibach proline springs, Steeda full length subs, and more.
If I want to put Cobra emblems on it, or even Saleen emblems, I will.
My car will eat most of those anyway.
