Clear Coat Marked Up By Packaging

Clear Coat Marked Up By Packaging
I received a part in the mail, upon opening I noticed the wrapping kinda sticking on some areas of the part. Upon further inspection, noticed some smooth marks, "no idents"on the clear coat. Any advice for removing them, or should I just send back to vendor? If its something easy, then I'd rather do it myself.
Thanks

Pictures would help - but the safest bet is to return it for another one [:@]
What is the part - is it metal or plastic. You could try a 3 step polish/wax to see if they come out.

Part is of a plastic material, but its just the clearcoat thats smugged!Pictures might be difficult to actually see without holding the part outside in the light.
