Default scuff/scratch removal??

I had someone strike my car last night, door and rear panel have "scuff" marks from his front bumber brushing down the side, no real dents, feels like some scratches, cant really tell without removing rubber scuff marks, what can I do?

Going to shop on Sat for Ins est, but hope to save the dect $$ if I can remove/buff/polish on my own, any ideas?

Thx

if the scratches are not too deep you can use wax, thats how i got some of the small scratches out.

wet sand the scratches and scuffs with a 1500 grit wet paper until all scratches and scuffs are no longer visible and you cannot feel them any more, be careful noto sand through the paint though and stay away from edges, bodylines and any sharp corners, after that go back over all of those sandscratches with 3000 trizac paper the polish it with 3m buffing compound with a white pad, then glaze it with a black pad, then wax it,

a wax will not remove scratches. A cheap over the counter wax may fill in the scratches to make it appear it's gone, but it's still there.
