Default Okay, so what do I do with the towels now?

Now that the microfiber towels are loaded up with wax/glaze/polish, can I wash and reuse them? If the purpose of all of these products is to repel water, how do I get them clean?

I do a small load in the washing machine with regular detergent but no fabric softener or anything special.

yeah and make sure you don't put anything else besides microfiber towels.

after the wash you can air dry them or dry it in low heat with no dryer sheet.

I always wash them by hand so that I make sure they aren't stressed too much or washed too hard. I'm sure a washing machine will be fine though, as long as you take it easy on them.

I soak mine in a bucket of hot water with simple green. I agitate them for 10 minutes or so, then rinse a few times and they are usually good to go.

Other people take an old pot and boil water and toss them in for a few minutes to separate the wax and oils trapped in the cloth.

I have just started writing on the towels with a sharpie what product I use them for...that way I don't use a "wax" towel for drying. So far so good. I like the simple green idea.

My wife washes them with other stuff and they come out very linty so I just use them to clean the wheels or the engine bay or places I don't want to get contaminates on a good microfiber cloth.
