Default Armor all on engine acc.?

I use meguires quick interior but ive got a friend that owns a dealership that sprays armor all on the black plastic parts on the motor, is this safe with the heat? and will it still work since armor all no longer leaves a greasy mess?
After he does it they look like there out of the show room floor.

look around at your local auto parts stores for a product called CD-2 engine detailer. it works wonders. it comes in a spray can. you just clean your engine and then spray this stuff on there and let it dry on and it makes it look brand new. it is getting hard to come by in stores, but can still be found easily online.
