Recommendations for engine detailing?
I've heard that CD-2 works flawlessly, and it's highly mentioned on here, but very hard to find locally. Shipping for 2 cans is high as well..
Does anyone/anything compare to CD-2?

If you're looking for something you can get locally, just get a variety of brushes, simple green, and tire shine. Warm your car up a little bit, spray the simple green after you cut it down with water, around 50/50 is good. Let it sit for a minute of so, than get a bucket of soapy water and just scrub everything you can. Next up, rinse everything down with a hose, obviously staying away from COPS/alternator/intake/wires, just constantly keep the hose moving and you'll be fine. Start the car up, and start to dry everything down, if you have a leaf blower, it'll make things a lot easier. Afterwords, turn the car off and just spray the tire shine on plastic and rubber pieces and buff to your desired shine.
It just takes a little bit of time. Here's the best picture I've got, sorry its not a stang.
