Unhappy 1996 Mystic Cobra Touch Up Paint Question

Well this is my first post, I just bought a mystic 96 cobra with 29,000 miles. Its mint inside everything is clean except the paint. I bought it and got it detailed immediately for the fact the card been sitting in storage for a wwhile, or so I was told, and after I got it detailed there were chip marks all over the hood, roof, and trunk. Needless to say this guy must have sat behind a salt truck with it or something. The worst part is, none of these chips were visible when I bought the car, or else I wouldn't have probably bought it. I am now stuck with it, and now I have to put a cry out for help on what I can do to fix these chips. So with this special paint I called SVT nd bout a 1.5oz bottle for $37.50. Very expensive stuff. Is there any particular way I have to put the paint on? I want this to look as best as possible, so what exactly do I have to do to make this paint look good again, other then pay $500 bucks a quart or maybe its a pint im not sure to get it repainted. I am just at a loss right now, what seemed like a great buy really came around and bit me in the @ss... Please if you have any suggestions, I would like to hear them!

If you want to be perfect about it you'll be wet sanding it once you fill in the chip. This levels it out.

Okay so should I put a flat black in first, then the mystic paint, then wet sand, then put clear coat over it?

use as little paint as possible and try to get it in the chip only. Or my secret is to use that coloured wax. Try to find soemething as close in colour as you can. It will hide the chips temporarily. Made by Turtle Wax I think.
