Default Best towel for drying?

My dad has a bunch of 70 30 mixed yellow micro fiber towels from Costco. They are just OK it seems. I heard from a member on here that the best towels that do not scratch your paint would be a 100% cotton American made bath towel. Is this true? I am tired of towels scratching my paint guys.

The best towels for your paint would be a 70/30 grade microfiber. Cotton towels can still induce micromarring and fine scratches.

For some awesome drying towels you should checkout my Amazing Dryer or Monster Waffle Weave. Most of my customers swear by these towels for drying.

^ Juztang is right about the Amazing dryer. I recently bought one from him and LOVE it. Great towel and is nice to know that it won't scratch your car. I would get 2 of the Amazing dryers if I were you.

+1 on the waffle weave microfiber. Most auto shops carry them.

yea I'm in the same boat, Microfiber tends to leave some sort of little bitty lints behind and a cotton towel just isn't very efficient. I may try one of these waffle towels and see how it does.

Another vote for the Amazing Dryer. You can't go wrong with this. Go ahead and get 2, you won't regret it.

Hard to go wrong with a real chamois, especially if you can get your hands on one of those old hand-crank washer wringers and mount it on a pole somewhere close to your preferred detail area.

Use a quality waffle weave drying towel. They don't leave lint and won't scratch. Stay away from the Costco brand. They don't last and will leave lint along with scratching the finish after a while. The Costco brand is great for door jams and wheel wells.
