Default How can I fix air dam damage to my paint? Advice? picture provided

Does anyone know how I can fix the paint that was chipped off the air dam?
Can I paint it? And if so, how?
What can I do?
Thanks,
Michael

Also, is there any way to take the scratches out of my hood? (a girl sat on my car and her zipper scratched it )

Thanks.

with that front bumper, you would probably be better off having a body shop repaint the whole thing. those are some big spots for touchup. as far as the scratches on the hood go, if you can feel them with your fingernail then they more than likely arent going to come out. you can polish them some and make them a little less noticable, but they will always be there. and that is why you never let people sit/lean on your car...

sounds like someone is a little bitter about the situation....its a forum, if you post about something, then you should expect to get peoples opinions on it, wether you like it or not. if you didnt want to hear what someone had to say about it, then you could have just said that there was a light scratch in the hood of your car.... but, youre welcome for the life changing advice.

A good repair/paint shop should be able to sand down the scratches on the hood and match the paint and feather it in so as to avoid you having to have the whole hood re-painted. I had this done on my 2001 zinc yellow GT last year and it only cost a $100. which I thought was a great price.
As for the air dam, it is possible to do the same thing on that as well but the other poster is probably correct, that with that much needing repair it would probably be better to paint the whole thing. I would take it to a few shops you know that are known for quality work and ask them what they think. I bet they will tell you that if have the shop do all of it they will give you a good price for doing both.

ya try to get the scratch off on your own, scratch remover might work if its not too deep. Then if you cant get it out have the body shop do both, it shouldnt even be $100 for the scratch since most of the work is getting the paint. They should definitly give you a great price on it if they do it all at once.
