I work on my crappy old fox to much to care about how clean it is, haha.

If i had the skill to get the car as "glass" looking as your examples stangit9090 then I would do it in a heat beat. Im just always to afraid to hurt the crap paint I have left to do anything but wash it at the moment.

Planing on hiring a local detailing company to do what ever they can to bring my paint back. Its full of swerls.

Are you mainly using a finishing polish via machine. If your doing a lot of paint correction it will take off the clear. What type of wax are you using? Most waxes will give protection for a month or two so there's no need for constant layering. Are you removing all wax before reapplying? A citrus based wash would be good for this

Listen to this guy.

ONLY because he basically said everything I've already stated.

Good job.

I didn't realize I copied you word for word. Just stating if he's constantly doing paint correction he's doing more harm then good. I agree that it doesn't take 3 to 4 hours to wax a car.

I'm at work, but you can check out our Garage in our public profile, at the World of Wheels in Atlanta in Jan. The cars have to be SPOTLESS and SHINEY inside and out, to be in it.

There is really no need to apply that many coats of wax, after a few layers you are basically throwing away money, there isn't going to be any noticeable improvement.
