Default Polishing and Waxing the Stang

Hey guys, I was hoping to hear some of your opinions on polishing and waxing. Ive waxed my car before but never polished it, when I waxed it , first I washed it and dryed it with microfiber towel, used turtle paste wax, put it on in sections with a pad and wiped off with microfiber towel. My car doesnt have any swirls in the paint but there are some light scratches that I would like to see what happens with the polish. I was planning on buying Meguiar's 2.0 NTX generation tech liquid wax and Turtle Wax premium polishing liquid compound. Anyway I was wondering if there was anything I needed to worry about when polishing my car, or if there is any danger when doing this? Also I saw some new products from armor all called Armor all Ultra Shine Butter Smooth Wax and their ultra shine liquid polish. These are a few of the products that I liked and caught my eye but I dont know to much about them and dont have any experience with them so any input is appreciated.

Hello my fellow Tungsten Grey brother...first you need to clay bar the car to get all the contaminents out your paint...its a long process, but the polishing will come out ten times better...other than claying, you already know to polish then wax...im not familiar with the products you use and are considering using, but if you'd like to try out the stuff i use, let me know...

Good Luck bro

you have no swirls.... get a very very bright light and look again! Like shad said, clay, polish and wax. I use Adam's for ease of use and very high results.

Believe it or not, waxes can be even more expensive than $6 a bottle - there's some pricey stuff out there! I think I heard of some rare wax being used that costs upwards of $50 (!!!) a bottle.

I also use Meguiars, wax and clay kits.. I havent polished it yet, guessed I missed that step so am thinking about going out today and getting a bottle. I am going to stick with the Meguiars theme for now, any suggestions on a particular polish they produce? Im still doing research on higher end products such as Zaino, Adams, Obession, Poor boy, etc.. once I decide on the right combo for my Ebony GT, I will make an online purchase.
