Havent tried the 303 yet. Since my top was just replaced I think they used a sealant on it because water beads right off the thing.

Pics of the top? Might give us a better idea on what you should do.

Welcome!

Does it leak at all with the missing stitching? If there are no ill effects, I wouldn't worry about it. Not advising it, but you could just put little tiny dabs of superglue in the holes where the threads came out.

Where along the top is that rip? Only reason I ask is to determine if that area sees a lot of flex during top up, top down operation.

the missing threads for an empty space of about an inch that is right over the pass. side window; closer to the front of the car than the rear. It does not leak - that I can tell. I think if water got in at that spot from those little holes the water would by gravity run toward the back of the car, it might take a while for water to be noticed! I forsee wind being a bigger issue. I theorize that the wind will lift up the vinyl from the liner and make the length of my threadless hole bigger. I was thinking some kind of sealant; as a way to hold off the inevitable (replacing the top). Super glue certainly is not out of the question. thanks

Can I seal up the stitching somehow to delay the rot? Anyone got any ideas?

I actually used black platidip on my black vert top edges to help protect the stitching above the windows. I didnt spray it, I bought a can of brush on, and used a small brush to just cover the very edge of the top. Its raised there and very easy to follow the edge. It looks perfect and has held up well because it is so flexable. My edge had cracked where it folds when lowered, leaving the stitching exposed and I was afraid it would rot
