Default Please help with swirl scratches on exterior mirrors

Dealer buffed out water spots on new 2014 Mustang. After delivery I noticed some very apparent "swirl scratches" on the exterior mirrors. Evidently they ran the buffer over the mirror surfaces too. I've tried Novus plastic polish #2 and "clear coat safe" rubbing compound to no avail. Any advice?

Thanks, Ken

Do you own a micromesh kit?

What you need to do is to determine how deep the scratches are and then use the correct grade of abrasive to knock down the sharp edges, and then progressively get finer until you are talking toothpaste level of abrasiveness.

BTDT with aircraft.

I called the dealership and spoke with the new car manager. He said they would replace the mirrors.
