Default Rust-Oleum NeverWet on convertible top???

Hi,

I saw how that product works in my local Home Depot and have to say I am impressed with it. And was wondering if somebody applied it on the convertible top??
thanks

I have seen it never tried it. I just applied RaggTopp Protectant to my 2005 Roush Mustang.

From what I've read it's not a good idea. For one, I don't know what the long term effect would be on the top material, that's obviously an important factor as you don't want it to destroy your top. The ingredient list doesn't strike me as something I'd run to put on my car. Additionally I see people are saying it doesn't just dry clear, so at best it'll likely change the color of your top.

I'll stick with good ole 303.

I would not use it on a new top, but if you have an old weather top I would see why not, at least you'll have some protection.
