Which leather preservative/conditioner smells the best?
I just opened my Meguiars gold leather conditioner I planned on using on my seats and it is so strong I don't think I want my car to smell like that. It's a strong petroleum type smell and I have smelled others that smell like diesel.
Which one can I use that won't make my car smell like an oil refinery?

I do recall that only the part that you sit on or against (left outer stitch seam to right outer stitch seam) is leather. So the rest of the material goes untreated or do you guys just think if it as all leather and apply to everything?

I like the scent of Surf City Professional Cockpit Leather Cream.
"Maintaining today’s advanced factory interiors and the traditional materials of yesterday’s cars with just one product is challenging – unless that product is Surf City Garage Professional Leather Cockpit Cream. Free of lanolin and animal by-products, this water-based cream is ideal for treating anything in the interior of your car, from leather to plastic. With the strongest UV protection of any product on the market, Leather Cockpit Cream’s thick lotion leaves a rich, non-greasy, satin finish anywhere it’s used. "

I have only used Griot's Garage Leather Care, so I can't compare it to anything else. I think it has a nice aroma. They make other leather care products, so you might want to check their web site to see which one suits you best. When it comes to purchasing, AutoZone might have it, as well as amazon.com. The Griot's Garage shipping charges are quite high unless you buy over $99 of merchandise.
I use the leather care on all portions of the seat surface. It doesn't hurt the vinyl, but a vinyl protectant probably would be a better choice, particularly if your car is exposed to the sun a lot. My car spends most of its time in a garage.
