Discoloration and bubbles in primer
I hope someone out there can help me. I am fixing 2 rust spots just ahead of the rear wheels on my 2007 GT. I stripped it to bare paint, blew it off with 90 PSI air, cleaned it with Wax and Grease remover (PrepSol), then shot it with a Devilbiss HVLP using matrix epoxy primer. About 2 hours later I saw tiny yellow drops forming on the surface of the primer. Sanded it bare metal again, this time used an etching primer. Did the same thing. Can't be water in the air lines since the etching primer was a spray can.
Does the Mustang use galvanized steel, and maybe this requires special prep? But I've done other spots on the car and never had this problem.
Was not that humid either.

stay tuned to this, I'll show/ask my buddy who is a class A body man. My guess is that its bad prep a the factory. Or if you can't wait,(I have no idea when I will show this to him) take it to reputable body shop. They should give you a good opinion.
