Sentinel Vehicle Protection question
I just purchased a black 2016 GT. The dealer wants me to have them apply Sentinel Vehicle Protection to the entire car. Inside and out. this is supposed to protect the finish as well as the leather and carpet from spills, bird droppings, sap, acid rain....
I'm not opposed to it but it costs $500! Has anyone ever done this? Is it worth the $? It's guaranteed for 7 years but that's still a lot of bread. Is this something that is done in lieu of wax? My assumption is that it acts like Rain-x but on the paint instead of the glass. Any information/feedback would be greatly appreciated. I tried googling the product and amazingly, got nothing.

I think it is just a very expensive wax job and interior detailing that you could do or get done for a fraction of that. I bought a vehicle once and the brand then was Tek-Tor and it was just a $400 detailing scam to raise their profits.

Don't pay the dealer for any of it. For the interior carpet use Scotchgard, same thing as what they use. For paint, you can buy your own paint sealant for $20-30 and spend a couple of hours doing it yourself.
The leather 'protectant' same thing. You can find one at any auto parts store or AutoGeek and get the same results.
Viola, saved yourself over $400 depending on how much you consider your time worth per hour.
If you do it yourself, plan on doing it soon. The longer you wait the more more prepping you'll need to do on the surfaces to get the best results.
